REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).

Introduction

At BENDANA, we are committed to protecting the privacy of our users/customers and state that we are responsible for customer data security. We will be clear and transparent about the information we collect and what we will do with it.
This notice explains which of our users’/customers’ personal data are collected and processed under their relationship with us as customers and as users of our website.
All personal data are collected and processed in accordance with EU data protection laws.

Data controller

BENDANA of Canderle Giampietro, a handicraft company manufacturing and selling fabric post-operative veterinary protection, with registered office located at 73b via Cazzale, 36057 Arcugnano (VI), Italy.

Which personal data we collect

Personal data are understood as being all of the information about a customer/user that allows us to identify him or her, such as first and last name, contact details, payment details and information on access to our website.
We may collect personal data from users when they request: information, catalogues, price lists or samples via our website and/or when purchasing our products. We may also collect personal data when users contact us directly.
Specifically, we may collect the following categories of information:
  • First and last name, title, residential address, company name when applicable, e-mail address, telephone number, fax number, tax code and/or VAT number;
  • Information on purchases of our products and services;
  • Information on the use of our website;
  • Communication with us or sent to us by post, e-mail or telephone.

What we use personal data for, why and for how long

We may use personal data for the following purposes:
  • To provide the products and/or services requested: we use the information provided to perform the services requested in relation to the products we sell and to offer any technical advice requested;
  • To contact users in the event of product changes: to send information on the products requested or that may be requested;
  • To collect payment data: we use payment information for accounting and invoicing purposes, and to detect and/or prevent fraudulent activity;
  • For administrative or legal purposes: we use personal data for statistical and marketing analysis, system testing, customer surveys, or to address a dispute or complaint;

  • Customer service: we use personal data to manage our relationship with our customers, to improve our products and to improve the customer experience with us;
  • To provide tailored services: we use personal data to provide information that we believe is of interest to the user and to customise the products we offer to the user;
  • Marketing: we will contact the user with information regarding promotions and BENDANA products via e-mail. However, users are not required to accept these communications. Every e-mail we send to our customers includes a link allowing them to opt out of receiving our direct marketing messages.

  • Only persons 16 years of age and older are permitted to consent to the processing of their personal data.

    We will not keep personal data for longer than is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which they were processed. To determine the appropriate retention period, we take into account the quantity, type and sensitivity of personal data, the purposes for which we process them, and whether we can achieve these purposes by using other means.
    We will delete or destroy users’ personal data when we no longer need them.

    Personal data security

    We apply security procedures when we store and disclose personal data to protect against accidental loss, destruction or damage.
    We may disclose users’ personal data to trusted third parties for the purposes stated in this Privacy Notice. We ask all third parties to take appropriate technical and operational security measures to protect personal data that are in line with Italian and EU data protection legislation

    Sharing personal data

    We may share users’ personal data with the following third parties for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice:
    • Trusted service providers that we use to manage our business, such as cloud service providers and web-marketing services;
    • Credit and debit card companies for payment services and fraud screening, which may require information on the method of payment to guarantee the security of the payment transaction;
    • Legal advisers and other professionals, courts and law enforcement agencies in all countries in which we operate to protect our legal rights in connection with our contract with the customer;
    • Trusted third-party auxiliary partners such as professional bodies, staff at events we organise, and companies that sponsor and support our events. We and our partners may collect and share user information, such as contact details and billing information.
